Abstract
Pension records, in addition to their administrative and legal value, also possess significant financial value. By 2025, pension funds for Civil Servants (PNS) are estimated to reach Rp175 trillion and continue to increase annually. These pension records not only consist of a single retirement decision record item but also include other records, such as the family records of retired employees. These family records are related to the pension benefits provided to the family. Therefore, the complexity of pension record items and their financial value requires proper pension records management. This study attempts to identify which record items must be managed within pension records and how these pension records should be managed. The method used is a literature review of regulations regarding pensions in Indonesia and records management in general. The results of this study indicate that pension records, in particular, are managed in accordance with personnel records management principles, where the filing process refers to the employee’s name, archive type, and chronology. This study concludes that pension records management must be carried out carefully by responsible organizations to avoid the legal and financial risks that can arise from their loss. Furthermore, organizations must have their own policies for managing these pension records.
