Abstract
The article examines the mechanisms of influence of foreign special services and their affiliated structures on the national mentality of Russia through information, technological and cultural tools. Various methods of manipulation of public consciousness are analyzed. Special attention is paid to hidden forms of interference aimed at blurring values, distorting historical memory and creating a negative image of Russia in the international arena. The article substantiates the need for comprehensive counteraction to these processes, involving not only technological and legal control, but also strengthening national identity, developing media literacy, increasing offensive capabilities and improving cultural policy.
