Abstract

This article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the influence of the concept of digital immortality on human perception of life. The work considers the transformation of values, fear of death, motivation, interpersonal relationships, as well as the social and cultural consequences of the potential overcoming of physical death with the help of digital technologies. The relevance of the study is due to the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies, virtual reality and neurobiology, which make the concept of digital immortality increasingly real and relevant, requiring philosophical understanding. And the scientific novelty lies in the multifaceted analysis of the impact of digital immortality on various aspects of human life, taking into account both potential benefits and risks, as well as in the identification of new philosophical and ethical problems generated by this concept. The influence of digital immortality on moral and ethical standards (the value of life, justice, responsibility) is discussed. The transition from the fear of physical death to the fear of the uncertainty of digital existence (loss of identity, dependence on technology, loss of control, loneliness) is explored. New forms of anxiety and existential fear associated with the problem of the meaning of life, free will and responsibility in the conditions of immortality are analyzed. Changes in social institutions (state, law, education, health care), norms and values, as well as the impact of digital immortality on culture, art and religion are discussed.
