The Impact of Audiovisual Narrative on Ibero-American Digital Platforms: A Systematic Review of the Scientific Literature in Recent Years

With the advent of digital media and the incorporation of new technologies on forms of audiovisual expression, digital platforms emerged in the middle of the last decade as a form of communication and entertainment at a global level. Due to this, the purpose of this research was to make a compilation of data on the scientific literature to know the impact of audiovisual narrative on Ibero-American digital platforms, based on the compilation of scientific articles related to the subject and published in the period 2016–2024. The question that was formulated to guide the study was: What is the trend of studies on audiovisual narrative on Ibero-American digital platforms in recent years? To this end, a methodological process was defined that consisted of the selection of key terms, identification of the databases, definition of the inclusion criteria, exclusion of the research, creation of a content matrix based on the characteristics of the documents and final analysis of the documentation for the creation of conclusions and discussion of results.
