Abstract
The Erasmus + is one of the most successful programs in the European Union and involves the mobility of students, teachers and staff of almost all universities in EU countries. It enables students to take part in their studies or internships in The University of Thessaly has developed actions within the framework of the program and provides opportunities for all interested parties to exchange their experiences. The aim of the article is to study the contribution of the Erasmus program to the formation of European identity, by incorporating the values of Mediterranean culture. For this reason, research was conducted on students and faculty members of the University of Thessaly who participated in the program, in order to record their views and experiences, regarding the contribution of the Erasmus+ program to the formation of European identity, enriched with Mediterranean values.
