ST analysis indicated that microglia-derived insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF1) modulated astrocytic scar formation via mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling activation, and repopulating microglial (RM) more strongly activated mTOR signaling, facilitating a more protective scar formation.
