Targeting of host organelles by pathogenic bacteria: a sophisticated subversion strategy

This Review highlights the most recent advances in the understanding of the mechanisms that bacterial pathogens use to target eukaryotic organelles and discusses how these strategies allow bacteria to manipulate host functions and to ultimately enable bacterial infection.
