Abstract
Aquascape is an artificial aquatic biota ecosystem that focuses on aesthetics, so it requires monitoring and controlling the water quality. This research aims to create a system that can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the process by implementing fuzzy logic and the Internet of Things (IoT). The system was developed and equipped with sensors: 1) temperature, 2) pH, 3) dissolved oxygen (DO), 4) Total Dissolve Solid (TDS), a microcontroller, as well as actuators to regulate oxygen levels in the aquascape. Data from sensors becomes system input for performing a fuzzy process on the microcontroller, producing output that is used to control the actuator and data that will be displayed on the system dashboard. Test results on the ESP32 microcontroller component show that this system can efficiently monitor and control water quality in the aquascape aquascape. Water temperature remains stable in the range of 23-24°C, while pH, TDS, and DO levels vary depending on the metabolic processes of water biota. pH ranges from 4-8, while TDS ranges from 320-710ppm. Meanwhile, the declining Dissolved oxygen level causes the aerator pump to be active until it reaches normal DO conditions in the 6-9 mg/L range. This research met the stated objectives and positively contributed to efforts to maintain the health of aquatic biota and increase efficiency in aquascape management. Implementing fuzzy logic and IoT is expected to be relevant in modern aquascape maintenance.
