Regional Real-Time Numerical Weather Prediction: Current Status and Future Potential

Real-time numerical forecasting efforts around the country are surveyed, the conclusions of two recent workshops on the subject are reviewed, the role of local real-time weather prediction is evaluated, and future cooperative efforts are suggested.
