Abstract
The constant growth in electricity demand brings with it the need for more efficient methodologies for monitoring power grids. This work’s objective was to build a compact and lightweight prototype of an electrical network analyzer with real-time measurement of electrical variables for a single-phase general system. Certain parameters and technical specifications were initially established to cover traditional single-phase loads within certain voltage, current and power values. The main sensor is a PZEM-004T, which takes voltage and current measurements and 6 electrical parameters are determined including active power, power factor, frequency, and energy. Tests were developed by taking measurements during a period of 3 months, continuously, and compared with a Fluke meter. Finally, the monitoring and data visualization is through an LCD and on the web through the Blynk platform. The storage of information is done in the cloud and microSD memory in the case of loss of internet connection, in both cases allows downloading data for further analysis.
