Abstract
In section III. D. 3 dealing with special meetings of tbe Faculty Senate, the phrasing of the second sentence is suf~lciently unclear to have caused some confusion in the past. The present wording seems to imply that both criteria (i.e . concurrence of a majority of the Executive Committee and written request from at least ten senators) must be met before a special meeting may be called. In fact, the intent of this rule is to require a special meeting under either condition .
