Performance Measurement for Web-based Application System

This paper analyzes the characteristic of Web-based application system, and gives two important concepts: user operation (UO) and user operation mix, and defines a set of terminology and performance metrics for Web- based application system such as throughput, response time, degree of the complexity of user operations and concurrent user.
