The article, within the field of Spiritual Theology, aims to help Christians, through Augustinian spirituality, to identify themselves as pilgrims, so that they may attain their ultimate goal in the Kingdom of Heaven. This is based on the spiritual experience of Saint Augustine as reflected in his works, particularly in Sermons 169, 256, and 346, in the Confessions, and in The City of God.
