Abstract
Vital signs are fundamental component of a patient’s data chart for assessment of necessary health care. Such measurements can be done manually by medical practitioners which can be repetitive. There are devices that measure individual vital signs that may be time consuming all together with manual recording succeeding the assessment. Access to basic medical check-up also arise with predicaments for people who settle far from urban areas where hospitals are mostly erected. Health care has always been scarce for the poor as well. In line of these predicaments, the proposed system seeks to aid and provide the above-mentioned concerns by developing a portable device that will be able to accumulate the vital signs of a patient, then upload it to the internet, and obtain assessment from a medical practitioner who has access to the patient’s data even far from the location where the device is. The device also incorporates a two-way communication system thru calls for emergencies and immediate instructions.
