Abstract

The objective of this research was to understand how feminist participation and activism are strengthened through digital citizenship, which we conceive as a space for expression, resistance, and co-construction. We used a qualitative methodology, relying on discourse analysis, social media publications, and young women who use the Internet to defend their gender rights and promote equality. The case study technique was employed. The subjects of our study are virtual communities where feminism thrives as both a political activity and a form of social awareness. The results showed that these platforms not only amplify women’s voices but also weave networks that multiply solidarity and shared learning beyond geographical and cultural boundaries. Finally, Feminist Digital Citizenship can be seen as an exercise in empowerment and social transformation — one that sparks hope in shaping the future role of women in the public sphere. It represents a positive path that transcends sex and class, whether one begins from solidarity or from sisterhood.
