Metabolic Disorders Predict Development of Hypertension in Normotensive Japanese Subjects

Obesity, high normal blood pressure, and impaired glucose tolerance remained independent predictors of the onset of hypertension, and the presence of individual components of the metabolic syndrome predicts the development of hypertension.
