Abstract

As a practical and versatile unmanned aerial vehicle, quadrotor drones demonstrate significant application value across multiple fields. This paper first systematically reviews the current development status of domestic and international quadrotor UAVs, followed by an analysis and outlook on their future trends. To address control challenges arising from strong coupling, multivariable characteristics, underactuation, and nonlinear properties in quadrotors, this study focuses on attitude control research. The paper begins by explaining the flight principles of quadrotors, establishing a simplified nonlinear mathematical model containing mechanical forces and moments. Using MATLAB/Simulink, a PID dual-loop controller is designed to achieve motor speed-to-control-variable conversion. Subsequently, a fuzzy PID controller is developed based on the original PID control framework. Finally, Simulink simulations validate its feasibility. Results show that the newly designed attitude control system exhibits excellent responsiveness and stability, providing a promising research approach for quadrotor UAV attitude control.
