Literature in the Age of AI: How Artificial Intelligence is Reshaping Literary Creation and Criticism

AI is increasingly present in creative areas, and its effect on literature can be seen as it influences the way people write and analyze literature. This research explores the effects of AI on literature by studying readers’ and experts’ opinions using a survey method, and analyzing the results with statistics and graphs. Although the writing is seen as stylish and thematically linked, the missing element is the strong emotions and cultural background you find in works written by people. In general, people were positive about AI assisting with literature but had ethical issues with different authorship, uncertain copyright support, and possible bias built into the training process. AI tools are mostly trusted for theme discovery and emotional analysis, but people still doubt their ability to make literary judgments. The findings are placed in the context of larger discussions, pointing out that we must address ethics, discuss various areas and methods, and create ways for human creativity and machine efficiency to blend together. The objective now is not to avoid automation, but to integrate AI positively into literature, supporting rather than disrupting the unique aspects of storytelling.
