Lipid composition differentiates ferroptosis sensitivity between in vitro and in vivo systems

It is found that pharmacological and genetic loss of GPX4 function was sufficient to induce ferroptosis in multiple adherent cancer cell cultures, and resistance mechanism may specifically limit GPX4 inhibitor effectiveness in vivo.
