Abstract
The Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) refers to the networks of the connected devices in the healthcare industry, where data are electronic health records (EHR). These data are vulnerable to unauthorized access, security breaches, and hacking. This paper introduces a Secure Reversible Data Hiding (SRDH) method integrated with lightweight encryption, as well as tamper detection by the checksum, as a solution to these issues. Firstly, Patient data is encrypted using the RC4 algorithm, then, data is hidden in the diagnostic image & apos;s Region of Non- Interest by the reversible watermarking method. The checksum at the receiver side is a value used to check the integrity of the content, and the original image can be obtained by the embedding algorithm if there is no modification. Performance on medical datasets show that the proposed method has a large payload, almost invisible distortion, and efficient change detection, which is a great advantage for real-time smart healthcare scenarios.
