Abstract

With the development of digital transformation, the globalization of all processes and the rapid emergence of new technologies, there is a demand for new areas of professional activity and the obsolescence of old ones, as well as the development of distance education technologies and e-learning. With the acceleration of the life cycles of goods and services, the need for new skills in the labour market is changing, so the development of continuing education is now relevant. With digital competence, people will be able to take full advantage of digital technology: online acquisition of goods, services, jobs, learning. The article reveals the expected results of the digital transformation, describes the necessary digital competencies for a successful career. With the development of the digital economy, the training of both the accountant and the digital information master in the model of continuing education used at the Udmurt Republic Resource Centre is becoming relevant. The article contains an experiment in which the impact of software was analysed «1C:Accounting» and online training on the quality of accountants and digital information handlers. Strengths and weaknesses of online learning and traditional learning were analysed (face-to-face). An accounting practice is proposed as a synthesis of both online learning and traditional learning. The experiments have yielded positive results. It has been proven that the use of new practices of focused accounting programs, video lectures, cloud storage, online directories, combining e-learning and traditional problem-solving method best helps to develop a student's skills, necessary and needed for a career accountant. Simultaneous learning on the model of continuous education and getting a profession «Digital Information Processing Master» will help the accountant to be more competitive in the conditions of digital economy. The article describes both the advantages and disadvantages of distance, electronic traditional education and defines the prospects for their realization.
