Interaction Between Drugs

The polypharmacy did little harm before the present-day drug explosion, because in the past most drugs were largely pharmacologically inactive, but to-day many potent drugs were given in combination and the prescriber should be aware of the actions of each drug but also of any possible interaction between them.
