Information Culture of Cadets and Students of Universities of The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia: Content and Specifics of Formation

   Relevance. This study is relevant due to the need for a theoretical understanding of pedagogical approaches to the formation of information culture of cadets and trainees, as well as the search for ways to optimize the pedagogical conditions of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, taking into account the practical orientation of training, the current level of Internet technologies development and the peculiarities of the international political situation.   Aim. To define the concept and content of the information culture of cadets and students of the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, to establish the specifics of its formation, taking into account the specifics of the educational environment and the professional orientation of training.   Research methods. To solve the research tasks, a set of the following methods was used: interdisciplinary analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis of the studied problems, systematization and generalization of scientific experience.   Scientific novelty and/or theoretical and/or practical significance. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the theoretical substantiation of a number of provisions on the pedagogical conditions for the formation of information culture in the educational environment of the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, taking into account the modern challenges of Russian statehood. The conducted research made it possible to supplement a number of concepts that have developed in modern science regarding the concept and content of the information culture of police officers. The results of the study can be used as a basis for improving pedagogical technologies and methods of the educational process.   Results. The conducted research made it possible to reveal the specifics of the content of the information culture of students of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, to identify the specifics of the formation of its individual components and elements.   Conclusions. The analysis made it possible to conclude that the information culture of cadets and students of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is an integral element of their general and professional culture and is a system of knowledge, skills, personal norms and values in the field of computer technology, as well as professional competencies in solving problems in operational activities.
