Abstract

The article delves into the analysis of informal mechanisms of the Russian Federation’s political influence in the Republic of Armenia in the context of the transformation of bilateral relations after 2020. Particular attention is given to identifying the key actors, including parallel elites, quasi-state structures, civic organizations, and the media, as well as the main channels of influence – informational, symbolic, and personal. The study demon-strates how these mechanisms have adapted amid the ongoing weakening of formal and institutional ties be-tween the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia. It substantiates the resilience and stability of infor-mal channels despite Yerevan’s declared distancing from Moscow in recent years. Methodologically, the re-search relies on network and institutional analysis, media and Telegram content analysis, and a comprehen-sive examination of both official and unofficial sources.
