Abstract

The devastating consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced organizations to employ a hybrid working model. Therefore, this research has three objectives: 1) to study the appropriate hybrid working model in the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, 2) to study attitudes toward the hybrid working model in the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic, and 3) to analyze and design the learning dashboard visualization for a hybrid working model. The research data were obtained from 22 practitioners in the School of Information and Communication Technology, University of Phayao. The research tools were a questionnaire to measure attitudes toward hybrid working practices during the COVID-19 situation, a questionnaire assesses the acceptance of the information system prototype, and the prototype of an information system for planning and managing HR support at the School of Information and Communication Technology, the University of Phayao. The statistics used in the research were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The study’s results revealed that the hybrid working practice during the COVID-19 situation makes operations more flexible, resulting in more efficient performance results. A balance between work and daily life exists. Supervisors can monitor performance and work status and save agency resources. However, the successful implementation of the hybrid working model depends on the job position and responsibilities. This is because, in some classes, it may be necessary to work within the office only, which may not always be appropriate for every situation.
