Hackathons as Community-Based Learning: a Case Study

Many hackathons are geared towards college students and the event provides an opportunity to learn aspects of software development that are difficult to teach as part of their regular classes, and the high-pressure collaborative nature of hackathons gives students an opportunity to develop soft skills.
