Exploring active learning challenges in a research-intensive university

A framework that presents a classification of learning activities for students based on four categories as a model of engagement; Interactive, Constructive, Active and Passive (ICAP) is described to understand how students are more engaged cognitively from a passive behaviour to a more active one.
