Abstract
In the digital era, Chinese traditional opera faces dual challenges of preservation and innovation. With the advancement of digital technology, socio-economic development, and heightened cultural consumption awareness, digital cultural and creative products offer new opportunities for the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional opera. However, there is currently a lack of in-depth and clear understanding of the design influencing factors and their interrelationships in the design process of digital cultural and creative products themed around Chinese traditional opera. In this research, we utilized a blended methodology, combining the Fuzzy Delphi method with the Decision-making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method, to assess and examine the connections among crucial elements influencing the design of digital cultural and creative products inspired by Chinese traditional opera. The aim is to identify the most meaningful factors. This research not only provides designers with a decision-making benchmark during the design process of digital cultural and creative products themed around Chinese traditional opera but also helps to optimize the product design process and enhance design quality. The results indicate that form, artistry, and new media dissemination are the most significant influencing factors in shaping the design of digital cultural and creative products associated with Chinese traditional opera.
