The recent technological advancements have witnessed a pervasive adoption of Artificial Intelligence tools across different sectors. In the education sector, AI tools are used for both teaching and learning process. However, increasing prevalence of AI also differs in levels of understanding and awareness across different groups of people. In this context, this study examines the AI literacy and the use of AI tools for education among college students and the presence of gender gap. Online survey was administered using a structured questionnaire and Structural Equation Modelling analysis was used. The findings revealed that cognitive and ethical domains had significant impact on the use of AI tools by students and significant difference among female and male students was identified. The findings of the study would be beneficial to policy makers, technology service providers, and educational institutions.
