Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for automated exam proctor scheduling aimed at ensuring fair and balance invigilation duty assignments among instructors. The proposed approach incorporates both hard and soft constraints and utilizes a weighted scoring system to evaluate and assign secondary invigilators. Key factors such as gender pairing, scheduling conflicts, health conditions, availability, delegated workload, and prior invigilation duties are integrated into a balance score used to guide assignment decisions. The algorithm was tested on simulated data involving multiple courses and instructors, demonstrating its effectiveness in distributing workloads equitably and minimizing manual scheduling efforts.
