Abstract
The article addresses the problem of password management for shared accounts of the Moscow Metro Dispatch Centralization software (DC-MM). The current practice is described, in which several train dispatchers share a single account on a shift basis, and a new password is generated monthly by a programmer and delivered to the senior train dispatcher in a paper envelope in person. The risks of this approach are identified: delays in receiving the password under shift schedules, possible loss of the envelope, dependence on manual programmer involvement, and the absence of a guaranteed notification mechanism for all staff sharing the account when a password is changed. The impossibility of modifying the existing DC-MM software and the closed nature of the server component storing credentials in a proprietary binary format are substantiated. A web portal architecture is proposed that enables the senior train dispatcher to independently initiate a shared account password change, with automatic notification of all relevant staff through their personal portal accounts. Interaction with the DC-MM server component is delegated to a dedicated adapter whose implementation is independent of the internal structure of the existing software.
