Abstract
The paper proposed a method for developing a digital switching algorithm to control an H-bridge inverter with a two-phase AC load, specifically for the case of a two-phase asynchronous motor. The method is based on determining the control signal functions for the inverter's switching devices through the initial condition variables required for a two-phase asynchronous motor drive system. The analysis and evaluation results are based on the output voltage waveform of the inverter supplied to each phase and the speed characteristic curve of the asynchronous motor when powered accordingly. The advantage of the proposed method is to simplify the structure of the voltage-frequency converter with the H-bridge inverter in the case of using a two-phase AC load. Additionally, the digital switching law allows for easy implementation of the drive model in specific cases involving two-phase asynchronous motors and two-phase synchronous motors.
