Abstract
The article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of developing a web application designed to store and process information in a database, which is an urgent task of modern web development, since effective data management is a critical success factor for most Internet services, corporate information systems and e-commerce. Based on the synthesis of the provisions of database theory, web technologies, and software architecture, the author examines the key stages of web application development, including the architecture design stage, the data model selection stage, the server logic implementation stage, the user interface creation stage, and the testing and deployment stage. The main architectural patterns used in the development of web applications are highlighted, including client-server architecture, multi-level architecture, as well as microservice architecture for large distributed systems. The types of databases used in web applications are analyzed, including relational databases, document-oriented databases, graph databases, and column databases, with the choice of a specific type determined by requirements for performance, scalability, data consistency, and query complexity.
