Abstract

Over the next generation, our global population will continue to grow. By the year 2050, there will be a need to produce 60% more food to feed a world population of 9.3 billion, using lesser land and fewer resources, which isn’t achievable through the traditional methodology of farming. Therefore, there is a need to improve on the existing methodology of harnessing data in new ways to provide better insights and advisory. With the right advisories, insights, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) - powered precision agricultural solutions anyone wishing to indulge in farming would be able to work upon solutions, based on data-driven decisions. In this paper, the first section discusses the use of on-ground sensors to gather personalized real-time data remotely. This data is managed using data analytics to provide the user with precise, relevant, and spontaneous solutions for personalized assistance and guidance based on the gathered data in the user’s local language. This can be achieved by using Natural Language Processing (NLP) both on-ground and through an application with a user-friendly interface. Using computer vision, real-time images of the crop can be gathered and analyzed through Machine Learning (ML) to provide farming-related remedies to the user 24x7.
