Design and Implementation of JARVIS: A Personalized AI-Powered Desktop Assistant

The computer assistant "JARVIS" is a character in Tony Stark's movie "Iron Man." JARVIS is an AI application designed to assist Tony's character in her work. It not only helps to run or execute commands but also provides useful recommendations after analyzing the data. The desktop assistant JARVIS automates task execution, such as sending messages via WhatsApp or automatically playing songs on YouTube. In this paper, we develop an assistant for students and professionals to make their daily tasks easier and faster. It is a virtual assistant like SIRI for iOS and Cortana for Windows, designed to be user-friendly and assist in task completion for students or professionals. This study develops several modules, such as opening applications by stating the name of the app or any song on YouTube. This paper examines a Python-based virtual desktop assistant, JARVIS, which takes commands and performs daily tasks. This speech recognition system utilizes the pyttsx3 library. The main goal is to increase productivity without compromising privacy.
