Abstract
Modern urban transportation systemsincreasingly rely on on-demand, real-time ride-hailing services.Developing a scalable, low-latency infrastructure capable ofhandling simultaneous multi-entity state synchronization—specifically matching dynamic passengers with moving drivers—presents a complex distributed computing challenge. This paperpresents the design and implementation of a high-concurrency,real-time ride-hailing platform utilizing a decoupledarchitectural framework. The system implements a dynamiccross-platform client architecture using React Native, a statelessasynchronous event-driven backend leveraging Node.js andExpress.js, and persistent bi-directional communicationsfacilitated via Socket.io. Data persistence and fast objectretrieval are optimized through a hybrid storage layer consistingof MongoDB and Firebase. The system introduces an optimizedgeographical state-machine logic to seamlessly handle driverdispatching, dynamic fare calculation, and concurrent requestmediation. Experimental evaluations indicate that the systemsustains low packet latency and reliable transactional integrityunder simulated high-load scenarios
