Abstract

This study presents the development and evaluation of a smart wearable device under the DEDSEC project, aimed at continuous health monitoring through real-time data collection. Utilizing pressure and pulse sensors, the wearable device wirelessly transmits biometric data to a mobile application of functionalities, including Bluetooth connectivity with an Arduino device for the collection of vital signs. Additionally, OpenAI's artificial intelligence is incorporated for real-time analysis and diagnosis based on biometric data. The methodology involves iterative design and testing phases to ensure accuracy, comfort, and functionality. Key objectives include creating a practical and non-invasive solution that seamlessly integrates into daily life, improving patient mobility, and reducing hospital visits. Future improvements will involve optimizing battery life, refining data algorithms, and expanding the device's applications in health and fitness monitoring, with potential uses in sports training, medical rehabilitation, and stress and fatigue monitoring. These results suggest that DEDSEC could significantly impact quality of life improvement and healthcare cost reduction through early detection and continuous monitoring.
