Highlights • Dark personality traits (DPT) were associated with adolescents’ cyber aggression (CA).• Belief in virtuous humanity (BVH) played a mediating role.• Self-control moderated the direct relation between DPT (excluding Narcissism) and CA.• The path from BVH to CA was also moderated by self-control.
