Abstract

The focus of this work is to explore various DC voltage regulators for seven-level Cascaded H-Bridge (7LCHB) inverters that are used for shunt active power filter (SAPF) applications. It is necessary to have the DC voltage that has been specified and regulated in order to enhance the enactment of the SAPF devices. In order to create the 7L CHB inverter, the DC voltage controllers, which include the Sliding Mode Controller (SMC), are implemented. The comparison is made between the performance of a 7LCHB inverter that uses SMC and the performance of standard dc link voltage management methods. There is a presentation of the performance indices, which include total harmonic distortion (THD) and DC voltage regulation. It is possible to carry out the work that has been mentioned in a Matlab/Simulink environment.
