Broadband Reconfigurable Polarization Conversion Metasurface Based on Non-volatile Switch for Wireless IOT Applications

In this paper, a non-volatile reconfigurable broadband multifunctional polarization conversion metasurface (PCM) is proposed for a broad scanning range array, intelligent reflecting surface (IRSs), and remote sensing. The proposed metasurface enables switching between different polarizations (i.e., linear-to linear (LTL) cross-polarization and linear-to-circular polarization conversion (LTC)) by non-volatile RF switch with zero static power supply. We also report the fabrication and characterization of the non-volatile switch that shows promising.
