Abstract
The relevance of the work is due to the increasing role of the BRICS countries in the global economy and politics, as well as the need to analyze their interaction in the context of global transformations and increased competition with Western institutions. The key challenges and opportunities of the alliance are considered, including opposition to Western institutions, internal differences and the BRICS initiative, the processes of de-dollarization in mutual trade of the BRICS countries in the period 2019-2025 are examined, the key challenges and prospects for deepening economic cooperation are analyzed. Based on statistical data from national banks and international organizations, the main trends in the transition to national currencies have been identified, the impact of geopolitical factors has been assessed, and scenarios for the development of financial integration within the framework of BRICS+ have been proposed. Key areas of cooperation have been identified, in particular in the areas of investment, trade and finance (using the example of the New Development Bank). The prospects of expanding the BRICS format and its impact on global governance are substantiated. The materials can be used in shaping the economic policies of the participating countries, as well as in further research on emerging markets and alternative models of global governance.
