Abstract
The landscape of women entrepreneurship in India presents a blend of challenges and opportunities, shaped by sociocultural dynamics and economic realities. This paper explores The Emerging Role of Women Entrepreneurs in India to shed light on the specific issues confronting women in this sphere. Indian society has historically been male-dominated, creating significant obstacles such as limited property rights, financial autonomy, and entrepreneurial resources for women across various socioeconomic levels. Despite these hurdles, women entrepreneurs have shown resilience and determination in establishing successful ventures. The evolution of women entrepreneurship reflects a societal shift, with more educated women seeking economic independence and equal opportunities. Supportive policies and institutional frameworks have emerged to promote entrepreneurial development and provide vocational training for women. Yet the sexes are still not even in the economic domain. Tackling such barriers necessitates initiatives and policies to make it easier for women to access funds, advice and networks. Entrepreneurship skills development programmes are also critical as they enable women with skills to succeed in business. Technology is one of the most important enablers to increase rise in women’s entrepreneurship enabling them to create innovative platforms, e-commerce solution, digital media, e-commerce tools etc. Demonstrate its potential for inclusive economic growth. To conclude, women entrepreneurship in India is a multi-faceted issue needing intervention to address challenges, take advantage of opportunities and create an enabling environment for woman to make substantial contribution to the economic development of the country.
