Bacterial Membranes: Structure, Domains, and Function.

The role of membrane curvature as a spatial cue for recruitment and regulation of proteins involved in morphogenic functions, especially elongation and division, is reviewed and the possible existence and significance of specialized membrane domains are reviewed.
