Abstract
This study explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching of literature at the University of Teknokrat Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to understand how AI is integrated into literary learning. It is also to evaluate its impact on personalized learning experiences, automated assessment, and content analysis. The focus of the study is on the latest trends and attitudes of students who take literature courses and use AI tools. Using bibliometric and qualitative descriptive methods, the study included an analysis of 164 articles on “Artificial Intelligence in Education” from 2019 to 2024 registered in the Scopus.com, limited on Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Engineering, and Computer Science. Data was collected through a questionnaire given to 34 students who had taken prose writing courses. The findings suggest that AI significantly affects teaching methods and student engagement, although concerns remain about its effects on human creativity in interpreting literary texts. Although most respondents accept AI, debates remain about its limitations in humanities education. This research contributes to the ongoing discussion regarding the integration of AI in literary education. The suggestion is to improve the benefits of AI while preserving the essence of learning at Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia.
