The present paper aims to review existing studies in the most known scientific data bases in the management and business field on the specific topic of artificial intelligence (AI) and supply chain management (SCM). The target is to extract the relevant research axes already published and determine research gaps and potential research initiatives. The methodology used is an integrative literature review. The main topics identified are summarized in the following: AI potential for SC sustainability, AI techniques, AI applications, AI adoption, and economic sectors implicated in AI adoption in their SC. Regarding the results of the analysis and discussion, future directions are proposed to cover all aspects of this emerging topic. By doing this, the paper gives researchers and practitioners ideas about the state of the art and the evolution of AI tools used in managing the supply chain.
