Art Therapy
Art Therapy
H. McDonald
TLDR
It was Adrian Hill, holder of the De Lazlo River and Bronze Medals, who first introduced Art therapy, and his unhygienic desire to liven the bare, shiny hospital walls, and at the same time encourage the patients in art appreciation, by decorating them with pictures, was viewed by the authorities with horror!
Abstract
The graduate program in art therapy trains highly skilled therapists whose professional practice is grounded in a broad understanding of current clinical art therapy, counseling, and trauma theories. Students are taught the application of effective research and evaluation methodologies, clinical skills, and studio expertise, within a diverse, integrative, and culturallyresponsive format. The program's student-focused approach allows each student to cultivate a unique identity as an art therapist.
