Approaches to Finding the Molecular Basis of Mitochondrial Oxidative Phosphorylation Disorders

The genetic bases of mitochondrial disease are summarized and some approaches to integrate information from clinical presentation, laboratory findings, family history, and imaging to guide molecular investigation are discussed.
