Analysis and Design of a Web-Based Attendance Application for PT XYZ

PT. XYZ is a trusted International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) partner in Indonesia, providing innovative technology solutions for effective data management, analytics, and business decision-making. The company faces challenges in managing administrative processes, particularly in leave, overtime, and reimbursement submissions via email, which leads to delays, a lack of transparency, and inconvenience among employees. This research aims to analyze and design an integrated web-based system to automate the leave, overtime, and reimbursement submission. The system is expected to improve transparency and accuracy of administration, as well as provide convenience for employees and management in managing related data. This research applies the Waterfall model for system development. Second, the design method employs Unified Modeling Language (UML), consisting of activity diagrams, use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams. The result of this research is a web-based attendance system design that integrates real- time information, employee attendance tracking, and reporting for HR/admin. By automating leave, overtime, and reimbursement submission processes, this system is anticipated to support organizational business processes and contribute to improved productivity and better management of employee data.
