Abstract

Mozambique's everyday operations rely primarily on biomass, resulting in the burning of wood, crop leftovers, and charcoal. Particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) are all released during biomass combustion. These toxins are dangerous to both human health and the environment.
