Advances in handwriting recognition

This special issue is aimed to report the latest advances in handwriting recognition using neural networks, and given the difficulties in obtaining enough labeled data to train deep learning models, data generation, few/zero-shot learning, self-supervised learning, continuous learning, etc., have also been explored.
